Security Capital Management (SCM) is an independent Registered Investment Adviser with metropolitan Washington, D.C. offices conveniently located in Alexandria, Virginia and in Chevy Chase, Maryland. SCM's principal officers have some 50 years of combined experience in individual and institutional financial  management at leading U.S. banks and trust companies. Our mission is to provide investment counsel to clients who appreciate full-time expertise, objective guidance, and vigilant oversight in the managing their wealth. SCM's services are provided on a fee-only basis with no proprietary product tie-ins.
In addition to our comprehensive investment management services, Security Capital also provides a full range of trust  services. As your financial partner, SCM will work closely with your attorney, your CPA and your insurance professional to be the coordinating leader of your financial services "team". SCM provides trust administration and related services on the Trust/Rite system of The Northern Trust Company of Chicago.
